If you're looking to boost your Instagram engagement, there are a few things that you can do. One of the easiest ways to kickstart your growth is by following other accounts in your niche. When Instagram users discover new accounts they like, they'll start following them too.
The second thing that you can do is to use researched hashtags. When Instagram users post an image and use a hashtag for something that interests them or aligns with their interests, some people will scroll through those hashtags and can find your account, if they like what they see, you'll gain a follower or a like.
Lastly, when you take a photo, make sure it's good quality! If it is bad quality then people won't be as interested in clicking to see it and may even be hampered by the Instagram Algorithm.

One is Hashtagify and our favourite that we use from time to time is Inflact which was formely called Ingramer. They provide a lot of tools and features if you're looking to find what the trending topics are. You can also just search the internet for "trends on Instagram" and get some more ideas!

Your hashtag group is one of the most important groups you can create for your business. As for what's popular, this depends on a lot of things from niche to niche.
So it's likely you'll need to research what hashtags are popular and relevant in your industry by using one of the websites listed previously. You want to vary your hashtags, include popular hashtags and some that aren't so popular as well.
What are some non-popular Instagram hashtags I could use?
This is probably one of our favourite questions as it helps you get creative and think differently about how you can use Instagram as a marketing tool. You've already got your hashtags for your relevant industry, now it's about finding some that you think will work well with what your business is doing. You'll need to use the websites we previously mentioned, as they'll show you the top trending hashtags across every category. You can use this information to find more hashtags that you think might work for your business.
How many hashtags should I have in my Instagram posts?
You can use as many hashtags as you want up to 30! The main thing is to make sure they are relevant to what you're posting about. The general recommendation from Instagram is to have around 30, but it could even be as low as 10 if you think they're relevant and work well in your caption.
Top Tip: Test, test, test. Vary the amount of hashtags you use in your posts. Some people say using less than 10 hashtags works better for them. Create a test using different amounts of hashtags and compare the results.
The reason why there is best times to post on Instagram is pretty simple too, these are typically when there's more people online and your Instagram audience is most active.
The short story is, the peak times for posting are between 9 am and 4 pm Monday to Friday will get you the most consistent engagement.

Top tip: Create a posting schedule and take note of your performing posts. Look at what day they were posted, what time they were posted and create a routine as part of your marketing strategy.
